Using one of the world's most advanced light induction systems, your students will use blue light to turn on a color-producing gene. The gene has been pre-engineered in the cell, letting your students experience the wonders of genetic engineering in an easy, creative way - Genetic engineering is amazing.
In this kit, students will: Make selective agar, pour petri dishes, streak bacteria, paint with bacteria to create ‘living art’, incubate under specific light condition, see results under UV light.
Additional equipment required but not included: Microwave or hot-plate and LARGE Amino Labs DNA Playground™ (with built-in Blue LED).
