Measure water uptake from the processes of photosynthesis and transpiration.
- Demonstrates transpiration rates by a plant cutting
- Secured to base with clips for easy cleaning
- Capillary bore: 1 mm
This glass potometer apparatus with glass stopcock measures the rate of water uptake from a leafy plant cutting resulting from the processes of photosynthesis and transpiration. The apparatus is filled with water, with the open end of the graduated tube submersed in a beaker of water. An air bubble introduced to the system; water uptake is measured by recording the movement of the bubble along the graduated tube. The glass apparatus is mounted on a wooden base (80×20 mm) by clips for convenient removal for cleaning.
Diameter of reservoir: 20 mm (0.79")
