There’ll be a gold rush in your classroom when your students use our exclusive lab activity. The specially prepared sediment provided contains fool’s gold fines in a bulk matrix. Students will use panning techniques to separate the “gold” from the sediment. In the process, they learn about mineral density and heavy mineral prospecting. It comes with a 1/2 gallon (approximately 6 lbs.) of sediment and instructions on panning. A gold pan, required, is available separately.
