The versatile Loop Track helps students learn about acceleration and conservation of energy.
- Activity Manual Included
- Students Investigate Acceleration
- Activity: Observing a Marble's Minimum Velocity
- Topics Include Acceleration and Conservation of Energy
With this comparable experiment, students investigate how a roller coaster car can stay on the track when it travels in a large, circular loop.
Use a straight, 80 cm long portion of the track with a marble to investigate acceleration. The circular portion lets students experimentally determine the minimum velocity the marble needs to make one full trip around the loop.
Accessories information: The Photogate System, available separately, allows for simple calculations when used with the Loop Track.
Ordering information: This kit includes an activity manual. The Fun Stand is required but available separately.
