Show How Acid Rain Affects Plants.
- Real world hands on science
- Ideal for biology, chemistry and earth science classrooms!
The problem of acid rain is quite often associated with its effects on aquatic systems. But it can also have devastating effects on terrestrial environments. In this activity, students will examine the detrimental effects of acidic conditions on plants grown under normal soil conditions, mildly acidic soil conditions, and very acidic soil conditions. Through physical observation, students will determine if the acidity has any impact on the growth of the plant.
