The New York State Regents Examination in Physical Setting/Earth Science (Part D) consists of two components: a laboratory performance test and a written test. The performance test features three different stations of hands-on activities.

This comprehensive kit for Station #1 includes 18 high-quality mineral and rock specimens from Ward’s extensive collection. Included Minerals are graphite, galena, hematite, calcite, fluorite, plagioclase feldspar (albite). Included Igneous Rocks are granite (coarse), pumice, obsidian, rhyolite. Sedimentary Rocks: conglomerate, sandstone, shale, limestone and Metamorphic Rocks: slate, schist (mica), gneiss (gray banded), and marble are also included.
