Dissection specimens that encourages discovery and real life scenarios. Learn areas of the brain, discuss ramifications of the tumor in your patient, and find your simulated tumor in this all new interactive product!
Sheep brains contain simulated tumors in three different areas of the brain: the hypothalamus, motor cortex, and visual cortex. Each set comes with either 2, 5, or 10 of each example.
Hypothalamus: The hypothalamus main role is to keep the body in homeostasis as much as possible. Examples include regulating body temperature, emotions, blood pressure and heart rate, appetite.
Occipital lobe: Controls visual functions.
Motor cortex: Involved in planning, control, and execution of voluntary movements.
Caution: Ward's® preserved sheep materials is a byproduct of the food industry. Sheep are not raised specifically for dissection. These animals are 'recycled' for educational use.
