Grants and funders began changing deadlines, requirements, and funding amounts even before the COVID-19 pandemic. During the past year, the changes have been more widespread and frequent. The grants listed below are current but check the websites for details and updates. Contact our Grant Services to get the latest information and support writing your grant.

Upcoming opportunities:

Voya Unsung Heroes Program:

The Voya Unsung Heroes program has helped thousands of K-12 educators fund their innovative classroom projects. Ward’s grant services have helped teachers win these grants including two grand prize winners.

Application Deadline: April 30, 2022

USDA/National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) education grants promote and strengthen agricultural science education and professional development. The three grants listed below have various requirements, priorities, and deadlines.

Farm to School:

SPECA (Secondary Education, Two-Year Postsecondary Education Challenge Grants)

Education and Workforce Development:

NEA Foundation (National Education Association)

If you or someone in your school is a member of the state chapter of the NEA, you are eligible for these grants for either $2000 or $5000. Deadlines are usually twice a year. Check the website for details and current deadlines.

Bayer/Monsanto Fund:

The Bayer Fund offers three different grant programs; each requires an invitation. Contact Ward’s Grants Services Team for help locating a Bayer facility and getting an invitation. We can also help you locate a farmer to invite you to apply. Deadlines and details vary by program.

Bayer Communities grants are for organizations within 55 miles of Bayer/Monsanto facility and dollars awarded vary by program.

The America’s Farmers program is in the 48 contiguous US states. Farmers choose the organizations they want to support for a grant of $5000.
